Certified Yoga Teacher and Certified Massage Therapist

Sheetal Contractor

Sheetal Contractor is a Certified Yoga Teacher and Certified Massage Therapist in the Lehigh Valley, PA.   After being a business professional for 15 years, in the summer of 2006, she took a leap of faith, resigned from the corporate world and decided to pursue her passions – providing therapeutic massage and teaching the fundamentals of yoga.  In her experience, she has heard many people say that the idea of doing yoga seems daunting or foreign to them.  But Sheetal assures you that anyone can do it and anyone can benefit from it!  She feels so passionately about this that she has made this her life’s work.  It is her mission o bring wellness to everyone through the teachings of yoga.  To that end, she has launched her own brand of yoga services called “Anyone Can Do YOGA!”™ and authored the book Anyone Can Do YOGA! (… So What’s Stopping You?).   In her own life, yoga has helped Sheetal deal with physical issues such as lower back compression and joint strain, as well as personal traumas and financial uncertainty.  She had spent over 15 years working in small and mid-size corporations and knows what it’s like to juggle multiple stresses at work and at home.  She is 100% certain that during that time, her yoga practice was one of the key things that helped her to maintain good physical health, lower her stress level and experience clarity and an overall peace of mind.

Sheetal began her journey into teaching yoga in 2000 when she first became a Certified Yoga Teacher through AAAI/ISMA (American Aerobic Association International/International Sports Medicine Association.)  Since then, her yoga background has included training from a variety of yoga “schools”, including Iyengar, Sivananda, Art of Living, and Yoga Fit Training Systems. She feels the learning process never ends and regularly attends continuing education retreats/courses to deepen her own yoga practice and teaching.  Since 2001, she has taught Hatha Yoga at various studios and wellness centers in NJ and PA , presented  group workshops in corporate settings and provided personalized private instruction to individuals, families and small groups. She looks forward to meeting you one day and sharing in your own yoga experience!
